Job Opportunity:  Engineering Project Manager - Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a talented Project Manager with an engineering background to join our client’s team in Chester on an initial 12 month contract (inside IR35). This role is working with a nuclear client on some major site infrastructure projects and so candidates need to have an engineering background and have worked in a highly regulated engineer industry such as nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemicals, aerospace etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Execute Projects: Develop detailed project plans, design strategies, and oversee execution to ensure timely delivery within budget.

  • Client and Stakeholder Collaboration: Meet with management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines, and costs.

  • Task Assignment: Identify and assign project tasks based on the skill sets, experience, and strengths of team members.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance and compile status reports for clients, management, and stakeholders.

  • Effective Communication: Develop excellent leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in inventory control and process improvement.

  • Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft Excel and planning software.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong customer relationship and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions to achieve project objectives.

  • Previous Project Management experience required

Education and Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent in an engineering discipline.

  • Degree in project or business management accredited by the Association for Project Management (APM).
