NRL are currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Engineering & Technical) to work on behalf of one of our clients in both the London & Suffolk areas.

  • Job Title: Project Manager

  • Location: London or Sizewell C

  • Type: Permanent, Hybrid Work

  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience


Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure schedule is developed and maintained on the RD scope, consistently with the overall Project schedule. Escalate any discrepancies to the SZC Lead Scheduler and Civil Works Deputy Programme Director (Technical & Engineering)

  • Support Technical Directorate in reviewing Contractor’s applications for payment

  • Ensure that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual

  • Interface with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practice

  • Ensure that contract or package contractual requirements are fulfilled

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all project team members and with all elements of the RD


Requirements: 

  • Experience in the Project Management of large and complex projects 

  • Knowledge and/or practitioner of Project Management with experience of applying either; APM body of knowledge and OGC's Prince 2

  • Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent

  • Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE) or Chartered Project Manager (MAPM)

  • Ability to manage and work to budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes

  • Established and practical skill and experience across concept design, detailed design and construction stages, including management of design phases

  • Experience in, and a desire to provide, technical leadership and collaboration within a technically orientated delivery team

  • Experience of managing external suppliers and aligning objectives and goals

  • Excellent knowledge and direct experience of CDM Regulations
