Job Overview: Construction and Commission Engineers will drive the commissioning & testing processes and will work in collaboration with the design, fabrication and project management teams.
Typical equipment - offshore wind turbine foundation deployment systems, ploughs, deck spreads, walk to work systems - amongst others - each system is unique and complex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
- Develop in conjunction with others commissioning plans and procedures for complex equipment design, build and operation
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and others
- Installation and Commissioning:
- Supervise the installation of subsea and renewable energy equipment.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare and present progress reports.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in subsea and renewable energy projects.
- Familiarity with offshore construction and commissioning processes.
- Skills:
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
- Location:
- North East England
- Offshore and onshore sites, depending on project requirements.
- Travel to various project locations may be required.
- Conditions:
- Work in challenging environments, including offshore and renewable energy fabrication sites.
- Adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
