Position Overview:

Our client is a global EPC energy company building a new conventional powerstation in Georgia. This full-time role involves a 3-year project based in Georgia. Initial planning may occur at the company’s world headquarters in Kansas before mobilizing to the site.

Preferred Experience:

  • Industrial Conventional Power - Simple Cycle/Rotating equipment experience

  • Union Management experience (preferred but not required)



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful execution of the construction and start-up phases of the project.

  • Provide leadership to project staff and all on-site organizations.

  • Direct staff in daily/weekly planning processes.

  • Represent the company in all interactions with the Owner and Contract.

  • Implement company standards and procedures, develop project-specific procedures, allocate resources, and make decisions to support project strategies.

  • Support a variety of projects.



About the Company:

The company offers union shop construction services for on-time, on-budget project delivery. Their professionals provide reliable solutions for industrial construction projects of all sizes, emphasizing safety, quality, cost, and schedule. They work on EPC and construction-only projects, self-performing with direct hire labor and subcontractor elements. The company continues to expand its services and project backlog.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 100-2000 direct hire union tradesmen and women.

  • Handle projects primarily in heavy industrial construction, including Conventional Power (Combined Cycle plants), Hydrogen plants, and Refineries (Oil and Gas).

  • Emphasize safety, quality, productivity, and project schedule.

  • Manage up to 70 professionals, including CM, Supt, Coordinators, Safety, Quality, Project Controls, S/U, and Commissioning.

  • Understand schedules and budgets thoroughly.

  • Possess strong computer and communication skills.

  • Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.

  • Resolve disputes effectively.

  • Knowledge of Union agreements (NCA, NMA, etc.) is preferred.



Position Details:

  • Start in the office with project estimation and planning, then transition to the field on a full-time basis.



Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervise others, including hiring, discipline, and pay administration.



Minimum Qualifications:

E,g. Bachelor’s degree with good level of of experience in similar projects as well as Site Management experience or alternatively, Significant levels of experience with construction management role experience.
