Job description
The Site Commercial Manager opportunity is based 100% of the time (5 days per week) from our site in Braintree, Essex. You will oversee the commercial and contractual management of site activities and contractors.  This position; 
  • Identifies and takes advantage of commercial opportunities and minimizes commercial risks on the construction site
  • Guides and monitors other commercial site personnel, and allocates of tasks to the team
  • Has responsibility for the claim management for site works, establishing necessary supporting documentation, assessing risk as well as incoming and outgoing claim potential, in close coordination with the relevant work package holder.
  • Together with relevant technical or project personnel, participates in commercial negotiations to reach agreements with subcontractors for allocated packages
  • Ensures correct administration of payment procedures in accordance with contract and legislation, and issues respective documents correctly and in time
 
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience as a qualified Quantity Surveyor 
  • Strong experience in major project delivery including construction of industrial plants  (project construction site experience an advantage)
  • Proficient in standard form and bespoke contracts - NEC and FIDIC an advantage and familiar with applicable HSEQ legal requirements
  • Commercially aware with experience in change management and producing claims
