Project Accountant – Stein, Switzerland

 

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join the team as a part of pharmaceutical site development project. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including project cost reports, variance analyses, and forecasts.
  • Cost Management: Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Invoicing: Manage project billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance team, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits related to project finances.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance financial management practices.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Certification in Accounting (CPA, CMA) is preferred.
