The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
- Resource Allocation: Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet project requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports, including schedule updates and variance analyses.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.
- Process Improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes.
- Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning or a similar role.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or a related field is preferred.
