The focal point for control of work on CPC, coordinating all stages of the permit to work system and acting as PTW Issuing Authority for tier 1 permits.

Helping deliver safe and efficient operations through facilitation of all stages of work preparation to ensure full compliance with relevant procedures.



Role Deliverables and Responsibilities:

  • Tier 1 PTW Issuing Authority for CPC

  • Co-ordinate work permits as administrator of the daily PTW Review/Planning meetings

  • Populate and control the PTW and isolation tracking system

  • Coordinate all site visits for completion of the Hazard Identification Card (HIC) with Performing Authority and Area Technician to enable efficient permit preparation

  • Ensure timely preparation of isolations required for upcoming workshops by facilitating the isolation request tracker and accurately communicating this to the PTL and Production Supervisor

  • Communicate all aspects of the daily work scopes to Offshore Leadership

  • Capture and log PTW delays, issues and efficiency data

  • Review and comment on procedural changes to all revised PTW procedures

  • Assist the OIM, Offshore Supervisors and Team leads with the co-ordination and control of work to ensure safe working practices are being maintained

  • Liaise with and consult Operations, Operations Support, Maintenance, all Projects and Vendors to ensure all tasks, permits and associated attachments are assessed and planned with timeliness and accuracy

  • Promote continuous education and re-education of individuals with regard to current and changing safety and environmental requirements and how the Permit to Work System controls these

  • Ensures that safe systems of isolation are employed and where necessary measures taken to provide and maintain hydrocarbon free atmospheres for safe implementation of work activity

  • Ensures that risk assessments are completed on all activities as per the Safe System of Work

  • Conducts operating audits to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures

  • Provide adequate information to OIM, Supervisors, Team Leads and permit users alike to maintain effective and clear communication

  • Adherence to Environmental Policies, Procedures and Working Practices

  • Ensure documentation is available and current

  • Ensure productivity by maintaining a good system of work

  • Plan and execute annual shutdown work scope PTW’s including Shift Team permits for NRO execution

  • Accurately handover status of PTW system to night shift ensuring any required activities are adequately planned and communicated.

  • Promotes a positive Incident Free Workplace culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the Spirit Energy CMAPP and HSES Policy.

  • Perform nominated emergency response role/duties and maintain the necessary competencies to perform these duties.



Must Have's:

  • Preferable to have a Production, Mechanical or Electrical background with relevant experience 

  • Have at least 5 years experience of working with a permit to work system, ideally involved in the administration and issuing.
