There is an evident shift in the UK's energy market, from conventional to a more decentralised, renewable power generation approach and our client are at the forefront of these changes.
Our client work to develop, install, operate and maintain new energy systems of all types. Their energy management and optimisation capabilities spans various fields; including renewable energy, battery storage systems, fuel cells, CHP, gas engines and turbines.
The Job

Salary negotiable based on experience, but provisionally £30,000-45,000pa

Project locations: North East, Midlands, East Anglia and portfolio expanding
The job requires mobility to get to various site locations so a driving liscence is preferred
A flexible work patter: Hours, locations etc - keen on offering a pragmatic approach to working patterns. However initial training period would be completed in their head office in the North East of England
The Company
They are a close-knit team of power generation professionals that are developing and operating projects and technology in the changing UK energy sector.
They currently operate 46MW of peaking power plants over 7 sites in the North East, Midlands and East Anglia and have firm plans to build a further 5 plants in the coming 12-18 months.
They are a small, but growing business and are seeking candidates who can fit into a dynamic and ever-changing workplace including the ability to work from home, from the office, on site and on the road developing new opportunities.
You would be able to ensure all day to day operations tasks are conducted correctly and guide other engineers in repeatable, structured, operations management practices.
Your key responsibilities
Accountability of site operations and maintenance across all operating sites
Oversight of operations engineers/technicians with a view to leading to full line management
Improvement and implementation of standard working practices involved with site Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Accountability for site contracts including Long Term Service Agreements
Manage suppliers of engineering services across all technical disciplines.
Solving and implementing engineering issues arising through operations.
Ensure maintenance of relevant records and documents
Your day to day duties
Direct operations engineers/technicians
Manage maintenance contracts
On-site support and supervision of contractors (ad hoc basis)
Review, improve and implement HSSE systems
Maintain Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and audit systems
Review operating and reliability performance and drive improvement using specialist contractors
What you will possess
Self-motivated
Experience of working with in a diverse team to maintain reliable operation of multiple sites.
A pragmatic and practical approach to deliver in a cost-effective manner.
Engineering qualification - HNC/HND or higher
The below experience is preferred
Supervision of contractors and operating sites
Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Safe Systems of Work including RAMS, Permit to Work
Contract Management
Health and Safety Qualifications (eg IOSH, NEBOSH, etc.)
