Job Title: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

Position: Permanent

Location: Norway (Relocation Required)

Job Description: Seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in data centres. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with chilled water distribution and commercial HVAC systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform test procedures and prepare meeting minutes.

  • Work with data logging equipment for temperature and humidity.

  • Interact with contractors and interpret design specifications.

  • Conduct site observation surveys and prepare field reports.

  • Prepare punch list reports and determine corrective measures.

  • Develop and review MEP test and operating procedures.

  • Respond to RFIs and perform various administrative duties.

  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements and project regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical control systems, HVAC, cooling systems, and building management systems.

  • Knowledge of large-scale data centres’ mechanical infrastructure systems.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

  • Experience with engineering software packages.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coach a high-performing team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
