Duties and Responsibilities
Provides engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities.
Participates in the MEP design process; witnesses the static and dynamic testing of complex mechanical, electrical and control systems and operates the system in normal, maintenance and failure modes of operations by performing the following duties:
Highly experienced working with chilled water distribution and commercial HVAC systems.
Performs Test Procedures.
Prepare meeting minutes.
Work with fundamental test equipment such as data logging equipment for temperature humidity etc.
Interacts with contractors and interprets design and specifications.
Knowledge of engineering principles.
Thorough knowledge of your principle with a strong understanding of electrical equipment and principles
Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems from an operations perspective
Ability to interact/work, represent the client, and maintain the highest professional standards.
Conducts site observation surveys and prepare field reports on the status of projects and completion of projects with respect to compliance with the plans and specifications.
Prepares punch list reports and determines corrective measures for on-site problems.
Prepares general condition survey reports.
Familiarize oneself with codes, local project regulations, construction practices, and the latest equipment functional concepts.
Familiarizes oneself and obeys all the projects safety requirements including specific on-site regulations. Performs routine calculations.
Participates in professional engineering associations and societies.
Acts as a project coordinator with other field engineers, coordinating printing, presentation, and administration procedures.
Review project drawings and submittals.
Develop MEP test procedures.
Develop MEP operating procedures.
Respond to RFI's when requested by the PM Team.
Performs various administrative duties.
Understanding of commissioning levels and standards.
Performs other duties as assigned
Similar work experience and skills:
Candidate must possess experience and must have knowledge of installation, commissioning, testing, breakdown troubleshooting & maintenance of heavy mechanical systems / sub-systems
Candidate must possess hands-on experience and knowledge of the following mechanical systems
HVAC Cooling systems (all types)
Chiller systems, cooling towers, and associated sub-systems (both water-cooled and air-cooled)
AHU / Fan coil units etc.
Process water systems and treatment
Air Humidification
Control and instrumentation experience such as SCADA/ PLC/ BMS/ EPMS systems
Ability to interpret raw signal data and process it such as temperature and humidity data etc.
Control and instrumentation systems
Fuel transfer systems
Smoke extraction/ pressurization control
Network & communication system knowledge such as BACNET, Modbus, Ethernet, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting & maintenance of Mechanical control systems, HVAC, cooling systems, Building management systems
Experience with mission-critical facilities.
Should have good experience in managing a team / Management skill should possess
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree.
