Lead Operations Engineer      

I am recruiting a Lead Operations Engineer to lead the readiness for the semi-submersible heavy lift vessel and the offshore construction activities. Based in Kingston. Permanent role salary is based on experience and suitability. Would you be interested or know someone suitable?

The job involves the opportunity to work on the installation of a jacket and topsides as well as the associated subsea infrastructure in support of a large field development in the Black Sea.

The primary mission of the Lead Operations Engineer is to lead the readiness for the semi-submersible heavy lift vessel and its associated marine spread as well as be the project representative on-board the vessel during the offshore construction activities.

The role consists of the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare technical documents related to his/her work package(s).
  • Follow-up the procurement and logistics plan related to his/her work package(s).
  • Review the installation engineering of his/her work package(s).
  • Lead the subcontracting activities associated to his/her work package(s).
  • Interface with Vessel Management Team / ASSET and OPERATIONS departments regarding the preparations of the Mobile Assets and vessel.
  • Coordinate the project qualifications and tests (FAT / SIT) jointly with fabrication yards.
  • Lead the mobilization and demobilization activities of his / her vessel and associated marine spread.
  • Interface with Project Marine Advisor regarding the vetting of the vessels (Marine assurance plan).
  • Take an active part in the Operations Review and Project Risk Assessment process.
  • Coordinate the offshore operations on-board the vessel as project representative.
  • Follow-up the project close-out of the invoicing process.
  • Support the Project Operations Manager (or delegate) related to the readiness of the vessel."
