Job Opportunity: Junior Project Engineer

Project Overview: Join a dynamic team providing technical advice and services for electrical vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) and alternative fuels (AF) infrastructure. This project supports client requirements driven by national and EU regulations, including contract administration services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and upgrade of EVCI at Motorway Service Areas (MSAs).

  • Conduct research on EVCI and AF technology.

  • Analyze electricity grid capacity data.

  • Support planning applications for EVCI installations.

  • Administer and monitor service contracts.

  • Provide ad hoc advice as needed.

Role Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical power or energy engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in engineering design software and general office software.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Experience in contract administration, preferably in highways, transportation, or construction.

  • Ability to work effectively in a focused team with tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Level eight qualification in electrical power or energy engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 5 years’ post-graduate experience in infrastructural or energy projects.

  • Experience with electrical/mechanical systems projects and infrastructure facilities design and maintenance.

Skills:

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical, numerate, and self-motivated.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.

  • Good project management knowledge.

  • Full Irish driving licence.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.

Languages:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
