Job title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Position: Permanent

Location: Norway (Relocation Required)



Description:

Electrical Commissioning Engineer will provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute the full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities. This role requires relocation to Norway and extensive experience in datacentre projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the MEP design process and witness the testing of complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Operate systems in normal, maintenance, and failure modes.

  • Perform test procedures and prepare meeting minutes.

  • Interact with contractors and interpret design specifications.

  • Conduct site observation surveys and prepare field reports.

  • Develop MEP test and operating procedures.

  • Respond to RFIs and perform various administrative duties.

  • Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5-10 years of experience in installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical control systems, HVAC, and cooling systems.

  • Experience with mission-critical facilities and managing a team.

  • Proficiency in SAFRAN PROJECT and SAFRAN RISK.

  • Language skills in English and Norwegian (preferable)

Skills:

  • Highly experienced in datacentre projects, including commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems from an operations perspective.

  • Proficiency in using test equipment and interpreting raw signal data.

  • Knowledge of control and instrumentation systems such as SCADA, PLC, BMS, and EPMS.

  • Familiarity with network and communication systems like BACNET, Modbus, and Ethernet.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree.

Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Experience with engineering software packages.

Knowledge of large-scale datacentre mechanical infrastructure systems.
