NRL is looking for an E&I Cad technician for contract position
Role Overview:
The CAD Technician will have the responsibility to support the Engineering & Design Department through provision of Digital Engineering Services including:
Provision of 2D Design Deliverables
Project Hand over support including Operation & Maintenance Manuals
The Instrument CAD Technician will have a technical engineering background and have industry related experience.
Role Detail Description:
The CAD Technician will work closely with the Instrument Engineer and Instrument Designers to support the efficient and effective delivery of engineering & design services.
The post holder skill:
Produce Computer Aided Design Deliverables in Auto CAD primarily loop diagrams and block cable diagrams
Have excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise
Mentor/train junior team members
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
ONC in technical engineering related subjector substantial experience
Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D
Familiarity with Revit (not essesntial)
Strong experience in UK construction projects
Experience of M&E design best practices(Focus on Instrumentation)
Experience of work on projects in Hazardous Area’s(ATEX)
Strong understanding of design process & associated documentation
Project life cycle experience
Knowledge of data and administrative management practices and procedures
Ability to undertake site surveys
Collaborative skills and experience working in part of a multi-discipline team
