Technical and engineering recruitment specialists NRL are celebrating a significant move up Recruiter’s HOT 100 2024 listing, as they reach position 15.

The report, released in March 2025, analyses the performance of recruitment companies operating across a wide range of industry sectors. In this year’s report NRL moves into a prominent position within the engineering sectors they support, as the top-ranking recruiter for technical engineering sectors such as nuclear, infrastructure and the built environment.

Continued growth in renewable energy sectors and solutions delivered to their clients to meet the net zero energy transition played a significant role in driving performance in recent years, which is reflected in the shift 30 places up Recruiter’s HOT 100 annual listing.

Having supported key energy and engineering sectors for over 40 years, the UK-based business has placed strategic focus on international growth in addition to expanding its capability within the UK. Highlights include delivering contracting services to the wind energy sector across Europe, providing project teams to coordinate major component upgrades, in addition to the international recruitment and mobilisation services offered to clients.

Whilst on home soil, delivery of renewable energy, net zero and key energy sector projects has seen the recruitment business work with clients to challenge skills shortages and manage project demands through flexible workforce solutions and comprehensive compliance processes to adhere to industry regulations.

Discussing the latest Recruiter HOT 100 listing, NRL Group CEO David Redmayne welcomed the promotion:

“It’s fantastic to see the strategic focus on our core energy and engineering sectors reflected in this monumental move up the Recruiter HOT 100 list.

A significant focus within our business operations has been quality, speed and efficiency – looking at how we can increase the standard of service to our clients, whilst ensuring we’re always innovating and looking for ways to elevate our performance. It’s a collaborative effort across our recruitment branches and support office, that’s driven by our ambitious colleagues – and we’re proud to have such dedicated and talented teams.

Their growing capability is rewarding to see, from supporting major wind farms across the globe, to managing regional net zero projects in the UK. Industry recognition such as the Recruiter HOT 100 is a direct reflection of their passion for recruitment and in-depth industry knowledge.”
