Colleagues from NRL’s Sunderland and Teesside branches will be heading to Offshore Wind North East (OWNE) in November as one of the event’s 130 exhibitors.
Organised by NOF, a not-for-profit organisation that connects the global energy supply chain, the two-day event will be held 9-10th November at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light.
The football stadium is just a few minutes away from NRL’s Sunderland branch on Quay West Business Park, making it the ideal place to set up and talk to businesses who are actively involved with offshore wind projects.
NRL’s own expertise in offshore wind includes support up and down the supply chain – from supplying hundreds of skilled workers to support fabrication work, to helping appoint key personnel to support with project delivery and engineering expertise. Having supported several projects both in the North East and across the UK and internationally, OWNE 2022 provides a great opportunity to discuss recruitment and workforce solutions with other suppliers already active in or looking to diversify into the renewable energy sector.
Discussing the event, Sunderland and Teesside Branch Manager Emma Lowden said,
“We’re delighted to take up an exhibition spot at OWNE 2022, just down the road from our Sunderland branch. We were lucky enough to attend last year and found the event extremely valuable – so it’s great to be hosting an exhibitor stand this time round.
As members of NOF for many years now, we recognise the importance of events like this, which bring together representatives from across the offshore wind sector – so it’s something we’re really looking forward to.
If you’re planning to attend, then be sure to drop by NRL’s stand to say hello, and if you’re involved in offshore wind but haven’t booked your ticket yet, then why not?”
What is OWNE?
Offshore Wind North East is a two-day event that looks at opportunities within the offshore wind sector. It’s organised by NOF, and supported by Energi Coast, and is the region’s largest offshore wind event.
Representatives from the North East’s offshore wind projects will be in attendance, including Dogger Bank Wind Farm, Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, and Pentland Floating Offshore Wind Farm. As well as members of the supply chain including Smulders, Ørsted and Van Oord.
The event is intended to connect likeminded people and allow organisations to explore how they can work together to continue to develop the UK’s offshore wind expertise.
Meet the exhibitors
Delegates attending the two-day event, will find a dedicated exhibitor area to meet supply chain partners such as NRL, and find out more about the services they provide to the offshore wind sector.
Together with the opportunity to hear project updates, speaker presentations and group discussions from key organisations involved in the continued development of this important renewable energy industry.
Register to attend
More than 800 people are expected to attend this year’s annual OWNE event. Delegate passes are now available to purchase and include discount for NOF members.
