HSE Advisor​

The HSE Advisor provides expert advice and guidance on the prevention, control and minimisation of risks to health, safety and the environment (HSE) in order to protect people and assets. The role of a HSE advisor in the engineering industry is a specialised job that requires great understanding of all types of engineering, as well ashealth & safety.

A HSE Advisor will need to have many skills, experience and formal qualifications to be successful in this role, such as knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, an ability to analyse problems effectively and a sound understanding of risk management. A HSE Advisor will typically hold a NEBOSH, IOSH or similar safety accreditation.

​Fife is a region in the east of Scotland. It has a population of approximately 250,000 and is located on the north coast of the Firth of Forth between Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh.

The engineering sector in Fife is large, with around 500 companies employing 37,000 people. It involves a highly skilled and versatile workforce due to the many diverse industries that employ engineers. Engineers can be involved with major industrial projects such as building bridges and roads.

Fife is in the central corridor of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Dundee. The main road north/south is M90. There is also a railway station which connects Fife to mainland Scotland, with routes running from all over the county to Edinburgh Waverley, Glasgow Queen Street and Dundee stations.
