Spotlight on: Heysham Power Station
Each year we recruit for a number of support roles to help deliver Heysham power station’s statutory outage programme.
Temporary roles on outages will provide a wide range of opportunities to work as part of a busy project team in an industrial environment.
Support roles can vary from Domestic and Industrial Operatives to Chefs and Food Service assistants.
Whilst working as part of the outage team you’ll receive:
Great rates of pay
Nuclear experience
Security clearance to help support future job applications
Training and certifications to add to your CV
Engagement on an outage is always subject to a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test (D&A) and Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) clearance.
At the moment we're not currently recruiting for any planned outages, however if you'd like to be alerted when the next round of recruitment takes place, sign up here.
Our Heysham Recruitment team are based next to the power station, so they’ll always be on hand to support you. Whether you’re looking for more information about roles on the upcoming statutory outage, have any questions whilst onboarding and training, or throughout the project.
The Armed forces teaches you discipline, respect & loyalty it really is a profession like no other so upon leaving its understandable to think that it'll be difficult to transfer those values to another organisation and to be able to use them in the same way.
With NRL not only was I able to use my current skill set effectively I was also able to gain the necessary experience through on the job training and taking qualifications in a classroom environment to improve my knowledge and skill set which has enabled me to have a very successful career away from the Armed Forces. There are always opportunities.
