Location: Heysham
NRL are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Storekeeper to support our client's Strategic Spares Stores Facilities located in Heysham. This is a vital role in ensuring the storage, care, and management of the UK Nuclear Fleet’s Strategic Spares.
Nuclear CTC clearance will be required, if you do not already hold this, we will be able to assist in the processing of this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely store, maintain, and care for the existing fleet of strategic spares.
- Coordinate the movement of spares for refurbishment and reinstallation.
- Manage stock, including performing condition monitoring routines.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and other standard programs.
- Operation of forklift trucks and basic rigging skills.
- Stock taking, material receipt inspection, and ensuring good housekeeping standards.
- Report any conditions that may impact personnel, plant, or equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and time management, adhering to nuclear safety protocols.
- Full, clean driving license is required.
- Opportunity to join the Forward Deployment Service Team (part of EDF’s Emergency Scheme) with full training provided.
- 38 hours per week: Monday to Thursday (08:00–16:30) and Friday (08:00–14:00).
- Hours may increase during planned maintenance periods, subject to management approval.
- Based on experience.
