Our client has a new STAFF opportunity for a Specialist Machinist

NRL’s manufacturing client based in Renfrew are looking to recruit a Specialist Machinist to join them on a permanent staff basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of department bespoke equipment
The candidate will be required to support the conclusion of unplanned technical challenges that may occur during the on-site delivery of the products.
To provide technical support in the field of Specialist Machining to support the continued growth and development of our client's Valve Refurbishment and Cross Fleet Tube Plugging and On-Site Machining products assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of department bespoke equipment
What will you need?
Must have a recognised qualification such as SVQ/ City and Guilds in Engineering or similar,
Must have a minimum 4 years’ experience in similar or transferable role.
Time Served Machinists preferred (However, qualifications may be replaced by proven track record and applicable experience in a similar role)
Technician to have a technical competence (on conclusion of training) in the operation of the following equipment: Cross Fleet Tube Plugging Equipment, Valve Seat Replacement Equipment and General & Bespoke Machining Equipment. You will have an appreciation or welding techniques and have a basic Commercial Awareness particularly relating to change management.
A key element of this role is extended and short notice site delivery requirements. Therefore, a willingness to upskill and a desire to travel to our various customer sites often at short notice is requirement of the position.
