Site Scaffolding Coordinator
Our client in the EfW (Energy from Waste) sector, are recruiting a Site Scaffolding Coordinator to be based in Skelton Grange on a permanent basis.
The coordinator Ensures all scaffolding operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons.
Key responsibilities:
Acts as the principal contact in the co-ordination of all scaffolding equipment on site
Chairs co-ordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure the minimum hindrance to the construction work
Ensures all scaffolding operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons
Ensures that the scaffolding equipment is positioned and installed so, as to minimise any risks e. g. from the load falling or striking people
Ensures that scaffolding equipment is suitable for the proposed use and is marked with any appropriate information to be taken its safe use into account
Ensures that scaffolding equipment and scaffolding accessories are subject to a periodic thorough examination to confirm they are fit for purpose
Designs and pre-plans the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports, etc.
Oversees the erection of the scaffold
Carries out final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use
Inspects and documents the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safely
Inspects scaffolds after changes / alterations have been made
Oversees and inspects of mobile scaffolds
Trains other competent persons, scaffold erectors, and users
Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site-related activities
What you will need:
CISRS Advanced scaffolding inspection
1 Day temporary works accredited training course
Experience in a similar role on large construction projects
Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent
Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
Solution orientated

Excellent motivational and leadership skills
Ability to present ideas effectively
Able to evaluate ideas of others
Negotiation skills
Good command of English, other languages an advantage
