 Our client is a global innovation leader in the waste infrastructure space, where they believe in creating a sustainable future through technology and innovation. They are looking to recruit a Commissioning Manager to work in a staff/perm position at their energy from waste plant in Riverside. 

Job description
  • Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities in the project, supervise the commissioning personnel and monitor the task definition
  • Responsible for the preparation of project documentation, ensuring all Commissioning Qa/Qc and hand over documentation is completed before takeover/PAC
  • Responsible for Commissioning HSE, Schedule & Budget
  • Contact person for the customer on the construction site: ensure that the requirements of the customer contract and the project-specific specifications are met
  • Identify deviations and risks and act in coordination with the technical departments
  • Conduct and check progress control
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of  experience as Commissioning Manager for large industrial Energy Plants. Priority given to Energy from Waste, or Biomass plants experience  
  • SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH Equivalent Managers Qualification
  • User knowledge of PIRS, SAP, Primavera and Microsoft applications
  • Good knowledge of function plans and PID (R&I Schema)
  • Other skills: very good leadership skills and ability to negotiate with subcontractors, very good communication skills, ability to recognize, adapt and execute the most appropriate course of action based on experience
  • Must be business fluent in English, other languages an advantage.
