Site Commercial Manager
NRL are looking to recruit a Site Commercial Manager to be based in Riverside, Essex for our client in the EFW industry. The role can either be on a contract or permanent basis and candidates across the UK are open to apply.
Key responsibilities:
Overall lead of all site commercial activities, is up to date on (overview of) all commercial site issues
Supports Project Director and Contract Manager Execution in client related commercial issues and alerts them in relation to site issues that might have an impact on the contract with the client
Takes advantage of commercial opportunities and minimises commercial risks at the construction site.
Guides and monitors other commercial site personnel, allocation of tasks.
Responsible for the claim management for site works, establishes necessary documentation, assesses risk as well as incoming and outgoing claim potentials in close coordination with the relevant work package holder.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of claims, risks, and opportunities on site (in PIRS, Capri systems). Prepare timely commercial notifications, with required documentation, time impact analyses, and cost.
Ensures that necessary contractual correspondence is put in place to protect HZI's contractual position.
Participate in regular and necessary commercial meetings with contractors and suppliers, verifies respective minutes of meeting.
Ensures correct administration of payments, withholdings, retentions in accordance with contract and legislation, and issues respective documents correctly and in time.
Together with relevant technical or project personnel participates in commercial negotiations to reach agreements with subcontractors for allocated packages
Resolves or proposes solutions for site commercial issues
Maintains accounts and cost to complete for site packages
Confirms site contractors’ compliance with insurance and securities provisions
Informs Commercial Manager Execution and Site Manager on a regular basis on commercial risks and opportunities.
Manage site aspects and establish documentation for insurance claims and recoveries.
Coordinates activity within the team, and with other site personnel and subcontractors.
What you will need:
Qualified Quantity Surveyor > 10 years experience
Strong experience in construction of industrial plant project delivery
Proficient with standard form and bespoke contracts (NEC / FIDIC)
Familiar with applicable HSEQ legal requirements
