NRL are currently recruiting for Senior Engineer (Structures) to work on behalf of one of our clients in the Winchester area.

Expectations within the role: -

  • To assist with the collection, assessment and impartment of information that is essential to the successful scheme preparation and implementation process to include liaison with outside bodies and contractors.

  • To prepare or assist in the preparation of technical design and contract documents, to ensure the implementation of structural design projects and improvements within published programmes and budgets es mates for the purpose of assessment and monitoring.

  • To liaise with relevant bodies (i.e. contractors, public utilities and the like) to include within design duties and programmes, as required.

  • To always work with due regard to Health and Safety of themselves and others. Issues related to sustainability in own working practices and encouraging and influencing others on policies and practices of equality of opportunities

  • Ability to communicate at all levels and supervise design work of other team members.

  • A working knowledge of their duties under CDM 2015 Regulations


You will need:  -

  • RQF Level 4-7 in relevant Engineering field

  • Specific working knowledge in the design and construction of bridges and other highway structures and design codes (British Standards, DMRB Standards

  • Working knowledge of Eurocodes

  • Experienced user of Finite Element and Grillage so ware packages, e.g. LUSAS and ENCAD

  • Experienced in undertaking bridge inspections in accordance with the Inspection Manual for Highway Structures
