Safety Manager

The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing/implementing safety procedures on PC sites. Checking compliance with H&S regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and minimises risks to employees, subcontractors, and visitors

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Training and Education: Organise and conduct safety training sessions/toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors to ensure awareness and understanding of safety protocols.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into any accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, and incidents.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a safe working environment.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular safety reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
