NRL are currently recruiting for a number of Quantity Surveyor’s at either Junior, Graduate, QS or Senior level across the UK.
We have a number of opportunities with our clients in the EfW, Nuclear, Petrochemical & Defence sectors, on a contract and staff basis.
Generic responsibilities below:
- Is responsible for the remeasurement of selected subcontract packages
- Remeasures and evaluates changes from revised drawings in regular intervals in accordance with the contractual remeasurement rules and rates and provides internal cost forecasts on that basis in close in close coordination with the relevant work package holder
- Establishes necessary documentation
- Documents all site related changes/deviations/claims in PIRS in close cooperation with the relevant work package holder and project procurement manager (the latter for process packages)
- Participates in regular site meetings and discussions with subcontractors, verifies respective minutes of meeting
- Verifies and assesses final remeasurement per building section submitted by subcontractor and in- forms work package holder of its findings, participates in subsequent discussions to reach agreement with subcontractor
- Informs Site Commercial Manager and work package holder on a regular basis on commercial risks and opportunities
- Supports Site Commercial Manager in the establishment of documentation for insurance purposes
- Maintains constructive relationship within the team, with other site personnel and subcontractors
- Performs role in accordance with applicable Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) legal and Management System requirements
- Quantity Surveyor > pref 5 years experience
- Experience in the relevant sector of the role
- Experience in remeasuring work packages for construction of industrial plants
- Profound knowledge of applicable remeasurement rules (for civil CESMM4)
- Sound commercial knowledge
- Familiar with applicable HSEQ legal requirements
