Quantity Surveyor (Client-Side)


Location: Ireland (with potential travel as required)


Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Client-Side Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team, working directly with an undisclosed client. This role focuses on conducting market data analysis and risk assessments to ensure cost control, project viability, and the delivery of strategic objectives for large-scale data center projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for new projects, ensuring alignment with market trends and client budgets.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis, identifying potential project risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Perform market data analysis, monitoring construction costs, materials pricing, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to financial controls and reporting.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on contract terms, procurement strategies, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support financial audits and deliver comprehensive reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Manage tender processes, including preparation, negotiation, and evaluation of contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards across all projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to meet the client's project goals and deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a client-side QS role, preferably within the tech or data center sectors.
  • Strong background in market data analysis and risk management.
  • Expertise in cost management, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel for site visits and meetings when necessary.
