Our client, a leading innovator in complex project delivery in the Energy, Nuclear, Defence and Security Industries, is seeking experienced an Project Manager to work on a new and exciting long-term project in Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and influence complex project work-scopes

  • Deliver projects under CDM

  • Utilize advanced project management techniques across multi-functional organizations

  • Understand engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting

  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and CDM regulations

  • Use reporting tools covering estimating, scheduling, programming, reports and risk analysis & earned value tools

  • Manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, across a range of complex multi-discipline projects/environments, and the effective & supportive management of an integrated project team

  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships at all levels

  • Thrive on a challenge

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Highly skilled in managing multi-disciplined engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, across a range of complex multi-discipline projects/environments, and the effective & supportive management of an integrated project team.

  • Wide range of experience in project management in a highly regulated & safety focused organization, ideally in Nuclear, Defence, MOD, Rail, Construction, etc.

Highly skilled in the following areas:

  • Advanced project management techniques across multi-functional organisations.

  • Promote and maintain effective & positive communications with all stakeholders.

  • To drive forward, manage and influence complex project work-scopes. Monitor progress of the programme against milestones, budget and deadlines.

  • Undertake contract activities supported by the Commercial Manager to include claims, variations & technical queries.

  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of project management, financial/commercial management and change management. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Promotion & adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures.


Qualifications/Accreditations:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent

  • BPSS/CTC Cleared or ability to achieve this

  • Confident, professional and driven

  • Skilled at cultivating stakeholder relationships at all levels

  • Robust and resilient nature
