Project Manager (Piping - Turbines) – Global Client - New and Interesting Project – Long Term - Superb T&Cs including travel expenses - South West Based

Offering you the chance to work across a wide range of Project Management activities at various stages of project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager for the installation and commissioning of the turbine programme, responsible for the leadership of activities with the installation, prefabrication and commissioning of the piping turbine hall.


Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Must have a wide range of experience in project management in a highly regulated and safety focused organisation. Ideally in Power, Nuclear, Defence, MOD, Rail, Construction etc.

  • Highly skilled in the following areas:

  • Experience of piping systems installation.

  • Advanced project management techniques across multi-functional organisations.

  • Promote and maintain effective and positive communications with all stakeholders.

  • To drive forward, manage and influence complex project work-scopes. Monitor progress of the programme against milestones, budget and deadlines.

  • Undertake contract activities supported by the Commercial Manager to include claims, variations and technical queries.

  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of project management, financial/commercial management and change management. Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Promotion and adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures.

  • Adept at using reporting tools covering estimating, scheduling, programming, reports and risk analysis and earned value tools.

Highly skilled in managing piping and mechanical projects throughout the full project lifecycle, across a range of complex multi-discipline projects/environments, and the effective and supportive management of an integrated project team.


Qualifications/Accreditations:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent

  • Skilled at cultivating stakeholder relationships at all levels.

  • Robust and resilient nature

  • Thrives on a challenge

Clearance Requirements: BPSS/CTC Cleared or ability to achieve this.
