Project Manager – Global Client – Long Term Career Scope - Excellent Salary & Benefit Package – Based in Suffolk – Quick Turnaround on Application

Our client, a leading innovator in complex project delivery in the Energy, Nuclear, Defence and Security Industries, is seeking experienced an Project Manager to work on a new and exciting long-term project in Suffolk.

The successful candidates will join a highly motivated, inclusive and diverse team that is rapidly growing and delivering state-of-the-art strategic and tactical support on highly acclaimed projects and programmes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and influence complex project work-scopes

  • Deliver construction projects under CDM

  • Utilize advanced project management techniques across multi-functional organizations

  • Understand engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting

  • Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and CDM regulations

  • Use reporting tools covering estimating, scheduling, programming, reports and risk analysis & earned value tools

  • Manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, across a range of complex multi-discipline projects/environments, and the effective & supportive management of an integrated project team

  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships at all levels

  • Thrive on a challenge

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Wide range of experience in project management in a highly regulated & safety focused organization, ideally in Nuclear, Defence, MOD, Rail, Construction, etc.

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent

  • Confident, professional and driven

  • Robust and resilient nature

Qualifications / Accreditations:

  • Degree ideally in a Science, Tech, Engineering or Mathematics field.

  • AMP formal project management qualification

  • BPSS/CTC Cleared or ability to achieve this

Personal Competencies:

  • You’ll have a track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.

  • Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects, in a regulated environment will be key.

  • You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of managing projects through the project lifecycle from concept to handover.

  • Additionally, you’ll have good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills as well as excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
