Working with a leading global company industrial gas company that is built on the principles of safety, sustainability and expertise. NRL are currently seeking a highly professional People Operations Leader to join our client’s team on an initial 12-month contract. This role can be worked remotely or can be based at site at either Crewe, Hull or Manchester, with up to 25% travel to client’s locations.

About the role:

As the People Operations Leader you would be a key member of the Regional MyHR Team, reporting to the MyHR Regional Manager. Playing a pivotal role in resolving HR query escalations, leading employee relations, and supporting managers in executing Talent action plans. You would collaborate with COEs and HRBPs to design and communicate HR programs and policies, enhancing the employee experience.

Nature and Scope: 

As the focal point for employee and manager inquiries on policies, procedures, and processes, you would manage workplace complaints, investigations, and resolve inquiries efficiently and effectively. You will ensure compliance with local employment regulations and legislation, leveraging their expertise in HR operations to provide reliable guidance to managers and employees.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field, or equivalent local HR qualifications.

  • Hands-on experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, with a focus on People Operations in a manufacturing or distribution setting.

  • Expert knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

  • Experience with EEO/harassment investigations and workplace complaint resolution.

  • Strong conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, self-confidence, and the ability to act independently.

  • Strong computer skills: experience with Workday or other HRIS is a plus.

  • Ability to travel to support sites, plants, and offices.
