Your role:
You will be responsible for building prototype samples to aid SuperNode in development of superconducting electrical transmission technology. You will also be responsible for supporting the testing of samples, deliveries and production line changeovers.
You will be working in our Manufacturing Team, reporting directly to the Production Manager, working alongside a diverse and innovative technical team.
This role is regular day shift and may involve travel. Weekend work may be required.
Duties will include:
- Maintain the shop floor and assembly areas.
- Set up tests for the technician and engineering teams.
- Work with liquid nitrogen flows, pressurized systems, energized electrical equipment, hand-operated power tools, and basic machine shop equipment.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work closely with the EHS team to close out Health, Safety and Facilities actions.
- Package materials for shipping.
- Take in deliveries.
- Take part in safety walks.
- Contribute to all stages of the manufacturing process.
- Support sub-contract manufacturing work.
Your responsibilities:
- Assembly of samples.
- Assembly of component parts.
- Operating bespoke equipment and machinery.
- 3D Printing.
- Moving samples between the production and test areas.
- Communicating results to the technicians.
- Quality control of samples.
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are strictly followed.
Who are we looking for?
- Hands on experience in the assembly of technical products.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communications skills.
- Good team player.
- Experience in a production environment.
- Excellent track record of time keeping and attendance.
- Ideally experience working on new product introductions.
- Forklift Truck licence desirable but not essential as training can be given
- Basic computer skills.
