Painter at Heysham Nuclear Power Station

NRL are currently looking for a Painter to join our client’s team on Heysham 1 Power Station. Our client looks after the upkeep of facilities on site, and play a crucial role in providing safe energy across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilising water and oil-based paints, both internally and externally, applied with brushes and rollers.

  • Preparing areas prior to paint application

  • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with risk assessments

  • Adhering to site health and safety protocols

  • Other adhoc painter duties

​

Rates:

£16.92 p/hr

Overtime is readily available and paid at higher rates of pay

Standard Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00

  • Friday: 07:30 – 12:30


Requirements:

  • At least NVQ level 2 in a Painting/Coating discipline or City & Guilds equivalent

  • iCATS certification (desirable)

  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and application of protective coatings

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to painting tasks

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans

  • Capability to work safely at heights and in environments that may contain dust or fumes
