Painter at Heysham Nuclear Power Station
NRL are currently looking for a Painter to join our client’s team on Heysham 1 Power Station. Our client looks after the upkeep of facilities on site, and play a crucial role in providing safe energy across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilising water and oil-based paints, both internally and externally, applied with brushes and rollers.
Preparing areas prior to paint application
Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with risk assessments
Adhering to site health and safety protocols
Other adhoc painter duties
Rates:
£16.92 p/hr
Overtime is readily available and paid at higher rates of pay
Standard Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
Friday: 07:30 – 12:30
Requirements:
At least NVQ level 2 in a Painting/Coating discipline or City & Guilds equivalent
iCATS certification (desirable)
Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and application of protective coatings
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to painting tasks
Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
Capability to work safely at heights and in environments that may contain dust or fumes
