We are excited to share we are currently tasked with recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to join our client in a contract or staff position, to work on a large nuclear new build project, based in Bridgwater, Somerset. 

As a must, the Health & Safety Manager will have experience of working on the Hinkley Point C site, as you will be supporting one of Europe’s largest projects. As a Health & Safety Manager you’ll have the opportunity to influence the culture on a multibillion-pound project!


Key responsibilities: 

  • Work collaboratively with Health and Safety Advisor’s and stakeholders across the organisation to become a subject matter expert

  • Facilitate providing the highest standard of health and safety support, guidance and oversight

  • Provide support and subject matter expertise to ensure activities are delivered in line with HSSE legislation, working as ‘One team’ supporting other members of the Health & Safety team as and when required

What you will need:

  • HNC in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent

  • Current qualification/knowledge of the CDM Regulations

  • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3

  • Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) desirable

  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management

  • Suitable relevant experience working as a HSE Professional in a project context. This needs to include experience working within a highly regulated, operational environment

  • Must be experienced in managing contractors and experience of accident investigation and reporting 

  • Experience of working on Hinkley Point C
