Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our green hydrogen and biofuel projects. This position requires a deep understanding of functional safety standards and practices, as well as experience in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement functional safety concepts and solutions for green hydrogen and biofuel projects.
- Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to integrate safety into all project phases.
- Perform safety validation and verification activities, including safety audits and reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on safety-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, reports, and records.
- Participate in safety-related training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical) or a related field.
- Proven experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262) and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Certification in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) is a plus.
