NRL have a number of requirements for Welders & Fabricators to join our client in Chorley on a permanent basis. The role requires the candidates to work with minimum supervision as part of the fabrication team, fabricating and welding to engineering drawings, to set procedures and client specification.  Proficient in the use of all fabrication machinery including press break, guillotine and powered rolls.

What you will need:
  • City and Guilds Fabrication & Welding Level 3 or NVQ or completed Apprenticeship
  • Experience of fabricating/welding pressure vessels, pipework, heavy plate and light gauge sheet metal in a variety of materials
  • Working knowledge and experience of quality assurance systems
  • Working experience of welder qualifications to EN ISO287 and/or EN ISO 9606
  • Experience with fabrication machinery, eg press brake, guillotine and powered rolls
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • An excellent understanding of machining allowances, welding symbols and tolerances
  • Proficient in fabricating/welding of stainless steel and carton steels using TIG, MIG/MAG & FCAW procedures
