Electrician/Approved Electrician - Our team at Peterhead Power Station work on looking after all electrical works at the station as below:

  • Maintenance / New install / Testing & Inspection.

  • Containment / wiring / repairs / fault finding / testing & inspection.

Site: Power Station

Duration: 3 months

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-16:00pm & Friday 7:30am-12:30pm (37 hours)

Pay: CIS

Rate: TBC

Start: ASAP


In a typical day, you could expect to be:

  • Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities within the power station premises.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards at all times.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to achieve project objectives.

  • No regular out of hours but could be if required.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any discrepancies or concerns.



What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • City & Guilds SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation

  • 18th Edition ECS/SJIB Gold Card

  • Experience of testing including EICR

  • Current IEE wiring regulations qualification 18th Edition

  • Be familiar with current H&S legislation and site requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
