Electrical Project Engineer

I am recruiting for an Experienced Electrical Project Engineer to take responsibility for the electrical packages from design, install, commissioning and handover on our projects in Oxford. Permanent role, salary + package depends on experience.

What skills & experience are we looking for?
  • Previous project delivery experience of fast-track data centres; major hospitals; prisons; science; stadia; and high rise commercial & residential (MEP value of £15m – 100m+).
  • Essential - >8 years relevant technical / practical experience within an engineering role.
  • The ability to select & manage innovative methods, use of materials & safe systems of work.
  • Effective communication with senior management, designers, consultants, clients/architects, and project team on technical matters.
  • Can interrogate and transfer setting out data from 3D CAD data.
  • Practical application of engineering principles and calculation.
  • Produces and/ or ensures that ITP's are produced, available and implemented. Ensures that they fully address specification and contractual obligations.
  • Undertake the role of TWS for all items of TW. Produces checklists for the inspection of complex schemes.
  • Can produce a MS for complex and high risk operations. Approves risk assessments and method statements. Evaluates adequacy and proposes improvements where required.
  • Ensures that NCR's are raised, costed and that action to prevent recurrence is implemented. Ensures that NCR's are communicated further where there are wider implications.
  • Ensures that company and external information is applied appropriately. Contributes to the development of company information e.g. TIN, TA etc.
  • Articulates how DfMA can improve the quality of the product we deliver.
  • Assist and provide technical input to design consultancy audit.
  • Has detailed knowledge of the QA and management processes and manages the subcontractor fully, conducting audits as required.
  • Establish and oversee local implementation of engineering systems, documentation / controls to comply with H&S legislation, & Company standards
  • First degree in Engineering Discipline (electrical), other construction or design related degree, or an industry recognised technical or engineering qualification (NVQ level 4+)
