NRL are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering business for CNC Operatives to work in Glasgow on a Permanent basis.
Job purpose and main duties:
Oversee Machinery set-up and operate machines
Responsible for setting up and operating CNC Grinding, Milling, Turning or Horizontal Milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
Loading materials and unloading finished products
Adjust speeds, cutter paths and other machine settings as required
Follow technical drawings working to customer tolerances
Carefully follow procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs. Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
Ensure machines are well stocked with tools and material to ensure limited downtime
Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
What you will need:
CNC Machinists must be Time Served
Experience in either CNC Milling, Turning, Grinding or Horizontal Milling
Ability to read technical drawings
Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
