Partnering with a global engineering consultancy, NRL are looking to recruit a Civils biased Project Engineer on a permanent basis in London. This will be to work on the Sizewell C Nuclear New Build project and will involve 2-3 days in the London office per week.

The Role
The Project Engineer will support the definition or validation the Technical Requirements and Specification, including engagement with the end client and the Design Authority. Key responsibilities will be; 
  • Manage technical Open Points and Design Changes which would include supporting progression through the technical governance processes 
  • Support the Design Technical Assurance for the end-to-end design and ensuring project acceptance can be provided, including reviews and approvals as defined by the surveillance plan
  • Accompanying risk management through Risk Management Processes
  • Early Warnings, Compensation Events, Technical Queries, General Communications etc from L3 Design Supply Chain, including engagement with relevant stakeholders

You will need:
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Background in heavy civils engineering structures, desirably within the concrete and structural steel sector
  • Experience in managing designs and teams, including integration, design and delivery management
  • Previous experience working with technically focused teams
  • Capability to provide technical assistance and collaboration within a technically orientated delivery team
