Business Development Manager – Teesworks Electricity Network
NRL are proud to be partnering with a newly formed company who will operate and maintain all HV Networks on the Teesworks site as well as all the capital build of new networks and substations which is a circa £190m capital program.
This is an opportunity to join the dynamic team and contribute to the enhancement of the HV network and the area.

Job Title : Business Development Manager (Connections Manager) Utilities Sector

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our business within the Teesworks site. This individual will be responsible for introducing themselves to new and prospective tenants, forging strong relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategies to increase presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in business-to-business sales but full training of the connection process will be given.
 
Outline and Responsibilities:

  • Make introductions to new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and market share on the Teesworks site
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and build connections.
About You:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a technical related role
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
