JOB TITLE Business Analyst

JOB LOCATION Dubai

The Business Analyst plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of renewable energy projects by analysing business requirements and proposing solutions that improve processes and operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that solutions align with both business needs and technical requirements. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance business performance, optimize renewable energy systems, and contribute to the company’s overall strategic objectives.

 

KEY MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not exhaustive)

  • Gather, validate, and document business requirements for renewable energy projects.
  • Analyse business processes, including energy production, supply chain logistics, and financial systems, to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize energy generation and reduce costs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and sustainability goals.
  • Create and communicate functional specifications, requirements documents, and process models to support energy systems and business processes.
  • Conduct market analysis and assess the business impact of new renewable energy technologies or regulatory changes.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and ensure the delivered solutions meet the defined business needs.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, technical teams, and business leaders to share insights and gather requirements.
  • Develop reports and presentations for senior management on business analysis findings and recommendations.
  • Lead the transition to new systems or processes, ensuring smooth business change and minimal disruption.
  • Assist in the prioritization of initiatives based on business goals and renewable energy sector trends.
 

SKILLS

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex business problems in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficient in data analysis, process modelling, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills for creating detailed business requirement documents, reports, and specifications.
  • Effective at stakeholder management, with the ability to influence decisions and collaborate across departments.
  • Leadership and coaching skills to guide junior staff and contribute to team development.
  • Experience in renewable energy technologies and an understanding of the regulatory landscape.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role, preferably in the energy or renewable energy sector.
  • Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, including process optimization and requirement gathering techniques.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems and technologies is highly desirable.
  • Certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or similar accreditation is beneficial.
