Since 2022, we’ve proudly stood alongside the Lighthouse Charity as - a valued collaboration exemplifies our commitment to providing essential support to our construction community and their families, particularly concerning mental, emotional, and financial well-being.

Why partner with The Lighthouse Charity?

Our shared values and vision for a supportive and inclusive construction industry have driven us to work in close coordination with the charity, facilitating impactful initiatives aimed at raising awareness and providing critical assistance where it is most needed.

Earlier this year, we had the privilege of partnering with the Lighthouse Charity to facilitate informative and insightful talks on-site at the Sunderland gigafactory as part of the charity's influential #MakeItVisible campaign. This collaboration allowed us to engage directly with the construction workforce, emphasising the importance of mental health and creating a supportive space for open conversations about wellbeing.

Dedicated support for our construction workers

In reaffirming our commitment to the welfare of the construction community, we have also recently renewed our membership with the Lighthouse Charity, ensuring that our workers have access to the vital resources and assistance they can provide. The Lighthouse Charity is a beacon of hope for many in the construction industry, offering a comprehensive range of support services including a 24/7 helpline staffed with trained professionals, confidential text support services, a self-support app designed to provide immediate guidance, and local support groups, all of which are tailored to address the diverse needs of individuals within the construction community.

At NRL, we hold a deep understanding of the unique challenges that workers in the construction industry may face. The demanding nature of their roles can put them at risk of experiencing stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Through our ongoing partnership with the Lighthouse Charity, we strive to foster an environment where the wellbeing of each individual is prioritised and supported, and they can feel empowered to seek the assistance they need without fear of stigma or judgement. By continuing to work in tandem with the charity, we believe that we can continue to make a tangible and positive impact on the lives of those working within the construction industry.

Building the future

We are proud to stand with the Lighthouse Charity in their mission to ensure healthy and sustainable futures for this generation and the next. Together, we aim to champion mental health awareness, cultivate a culture of understanding and empathy, and ensure that no individual within the construction community is left to navigate their challenges alone.
