Technical engineering recruiters NRL welcome the news they have been shortlisted for two Recruiter Awards at this year’s much sought-after industry awards ceremony.

The Recruiter Awards invite agencies, suppliers and in-house recruitment teams to submit applications across a range of award categories. The independent judging panel then have the difficult task of drawing up the shortlist of finalists, before the category winners are announced at their awards ceremony that takes place on 26th September this year.

The NRL team have been shortlisted for Best Engineering Recruitment Agency, and Recruitment Agency of the Year – 50-99 employees. Now in its fifth decade of business, the NRL Group have extensively grown their recruitment expertise across a wide range of energy and engineering sectors, including work in recent years to support their clients with energy transition plans to meet net zero goals.

For the Best Engineering Recruitment Agency category, judges are looking for businesses that consistently demonstrate a high standard of service to clients and candidates, and an in-depth knowledge of the engineering industry. Earlier in the year, NRL secured another consecutive spot on the engineering recruiter list in the Recruiter Hot 100 listing. In their Recruiter Awards submission, they described their approach to tackling skills shortages and the innovative ways they support clients to identify the right people to help their businesses grow.

The Recruitment Agency of the Year – 50-99 employees’ category, focuses on colleagues who are dedicated to delivering recruitment services. Judges are looking to find out more about the agency itself, including its business accomplishments and how it is enhancing the reputation of the recruitment industry. Across NRL’s UK and international recruitment branches there is an extensive focus on social value and the role the business can play in helping to level the playing field for underrepresented and minority candidates. Including championing more women in engineering and community outreach work to inspire the next generation.

NRL Group CEO David Redmayne reflected on the shortlist announcement.

“Hundreds of recruitment businesses submit entries into the Recruiter Awards each year, so to be announced as finalists in two of the categories is cause for celebration.

We dedicate a great deal of time ensuring we’re supporting the needs of our clients and candidates now and well into the future, so award nominations such as these represent the huge amount of work that our teams put into positively representing their industry.

We’re looking forward to the awards ceremony in September, to join other businesses working across the recruitment industry and celebrate all of this year’s winners.”
