In your role as a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the planning, completion, and delivery of engineering projects. You’ll work closely with staff from different departments to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope. As a Senior Project Manager in engineering, you’ll need to have excellent organisational skills if you want to succeed in the role.

As a Senior Project Manager you will have broad engineering knowledge, experience and skills. Whilst specific requirements vary between employers and projects, they typically require a proven track record of managing teams and systems and being able to work with multiple stakeholders.

A Senior Project Manager’s role is to take the lead on large, complex and often critical projects within an organisation ensuring projects are delivered to client specifications. To be a Senior Project Manager typically you will have gained significant experience, having progressed through the years to a senior position. You may also be required to hold a formal qualification such as PRINCE2, Lean, Six Sigma or APMP.

Middlesbrough
