Instrument Technician

An Instrument Technician is a tradesperson who has a high level of technical knowledge and is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing instruments and equipment used in process industries. Working as an Instrument Technician you will interact with a wide range of equipment such as spectrometers, chromatographs and gas analysers.

As an Instrument Technician you might play a role in the design and development of products, quality control and calibration of testing equipment, repair of instruments, installation and maintenance of instrumentation hardware. You will work with Design Engineers to ensure that instruments are constructed and calibrated correctly.

To secure a role as an Instrument Technician you will be time-served with demonstrable experience working within the engineering industry, be familiar with the mathematical calculations and conversions utilised for calibration and testing, and hold relevant trade certificates.
