The NRL Group are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer (Painting/ Coating/ Insulation) to oversee the delivery of a significant work package on a major power generation construction project in the South West.

Duties:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for contract coating/painting & insulation processes.

  • Provide expertise in various coating inspection technologies.

  • To Review Coating/Painting/Insulation documents submitted by subcontractors.

  • Monitor the quality activities of the partners and subcontractors versus the Inspection and Test Plan, check the results of the tests are documented according to the relevant standards / project requirements.

  • Involve in ensuring all witness and hold points as per the ITPL are notified to the client.

  • Involve in site inspection / testing - Evaluate and improve coating inspection processes.

  • Verify that no NCFSI in site procured material by the partner / subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance to Nuclear Safety requirements / PED / EN.

  • Verify and review the completeness and correctness of the Site Work Conformance Files (SWCF).

  • Ensure site quality objectives are monitored and tracked.

  • Do any other quality task delegated by the Site Quality Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in multicultural construction site in the Power Plant Industry and ideally in the Nuclear Sector.

  • Proficiency in coating/Insulation inspection techniques, equipment, and materials.

  • NACE, ICORR, CSWIP, or BGAS Level III qualifications in Coating.

  • Good awareness of site EHS principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Have strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point) and Adobe Professional/Nero.
