Our client are seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative engineering team based in Preston. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects and gain valuable experience in the field of mechanical engineering.

The successful candidate will join a highly motivated, inclusive and diverse team that is rapidly growing and delivering state-of-the-art strategic and tactical support on highly acclaimed projects and programmes.

This position has the opportunity to become a permanent role, leading to a long term career within one of the UK’s leading engineering companies in the Nuclear industry, covering operations support, demolition & decommissioning.


What you need:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and concepts.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • The ability to obtain relevant Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within engineering teams to develop and refine mechanical principles.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project requirements and deliverables.

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment through active participation and support of diversity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering.
