Job Summary: 

My client is seeking an experienced Piping Field Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping design, installation, and maintenance, with specific experience within pharmaceutical/semiconductor/clean-room projects. As a Piping Field Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and installation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and other stakeholders to develop piping system plans and layouts.

  • Provide interface between Design Engineering team and Construction Delivery Teams post design package completion.

  • Support in on-site technical matters connected to the design for TQ’s/RFI’s, etc..

  • Conduct field surveys and assessments to identify piping requirements and constraints.

  • Review piping drawings, isometrics, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, including process piping, utility piping, and HVAC piping.

  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to maintain project schedule and quality.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews to ensure proper execution of piping work.

  • Perform inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with design, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve piping-related issues during construction and commissioning phases.

  • Provide technical support to resolve field engineering challenges and deviations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, material certifications, and test records.

  • Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to piping systems.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Piping Field Engineer in pharmaceutical or semiconductor projects.

  • Proficiency in piping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.1, etc.).

  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments and high-purity piping systems.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
